The Cesspit of the Talmud

The Talmud, the oral traditions of the Jews that Christ denounced, is a vile book. Christians who view the Jews as Yah’s chosen people should learn what it says about gentiles.

Part 1: (Miles & Dave)

Miles Robey: Hello! Welcome to World’s Last Chance Radio! I’m your host, Miles Robey.

Dave Wright: And I’m Dave Wright. We’re glad you could join us!

Miles: If this is your first time joining us, you’ll notice very quickly that we always prefer to use the Creator’s personal name, which is Yahuwah, or Yah. This is how His name actually appears in Scripture. It’s just that in most modern translations, His name has been left out and generic titles of “lord” or “god” have been substituted instead.

Dave: There’s a reason for that. Yahuwah comes from a verb of being. Now, we’re not used to names being verbs. We think of names as nouns! But as a verb of being, Yahuwah’s name itself is a pledge that He will BE whatever you need Him to be.

Miles: The son’s name contains a promise, too. The Saviour’s name is Yahushua, which means “Yahuwah saves.” So there’s a lot of rich meaning there that is lost when the names aren’t used. Sometimes we’ll share quotes from various authors. If the context of the quote makes it clear they are speaking about the Father or the son, we will substitute the personal names there as well.

It is well worth your while because a lot of people are being led astray, assuming that they can learn deep spiritual truths, or gain enriching traditions from the Jews, but that’s just not so.

Now, before we go any further, let me just clarify that in that program as well as today’s, we are not talking about the Jewish race, the biological descendants of Abraham. Instead, we’re talking about “crypto-Jews” – those who claim the name of “Jew”, who adopt the traditions of the Jews, but who are not actually blood descendants of Abraham.

Miles: Well, I think some of them are, aren’t they?

Dave: Sure! Some of them are, but most aren’t. When we talk about the crypto-Jews, we are warning about an ideology that is aggressively pursuing world domination and that has a very conscious sense of self-superiority.

Most of who we call “Jews” aren’t of Israelite descent at all. “Jew” is a modern term. Most of them are actually descended from the Khazars, a warlike people who converted to Judaism in the Middle Ages.

The crypto-Jews can be of biological descent, but again, most of them aren’t. However, the crypto-Jews are all united in an evil agenda that seeks to subjugate the rest of the world and bring it under the heel of Zionism.

If this is news to you, or sounds blasphemous, please keep listening. We don’t make idle claims.

Miles: It’s a principle of psychology that by beholding, we become changed. This is why we feel compelled to warn our fellow believers of the dangers of putting the Jews up on a pedestal. There is no new light to be had there, folks. They are not descendants of Abraham. They’re imposters. They’re crypto-Jews.

Dave: Yahuwah Himself said that the Israelites rejected Him when they chose to have a king, so when the warlike Khazars converted, what they converted to was Pharisaism. That’s what modern Judaism is, and that’s what we’re going to talk about today.

The Jews are a reflection of what is in the Talmud; and the Talmud is a self-portrait of pure evil. In 1899, F. Trocase wrote a statement that I think sums it up well. Would you read this for us, Miles? Right here …

Miles:

No obstacle discourages them; [the Jews] persevere throughout the world, throughout the centuries, the unity of their race. The Talmud has given them a powerful organization which modern progress has been unable to change. Deep, ineradicable hatred of everything that is not Jewish stimulates them in war which they wage against Christian Society, which is too divided to be able to fight with the necessary energy.

Dave: Now, if you’ve never read the Talmud, this can be confusing. In fact, the Talmud itself can be rather confusing. It’s not written in a clear format, like the books of Moses. Instead, a statement is made. Then, the opinion of This rabbi or That will be quoted. Sometimes, you’ll even get the opinion of a third rabbi joining in with a slightly different point-of-view.

Miles: Doesn’t this come from the fact that the Talmud is, quite literally, the oral tradition of the elders in written form?

Dave: Correct. This all sounds well and good, but if you keep reading, a horrifying realization will begin to dawn. The Talmud is the studied attempt to break the divine law, while still being able to claim the rewards of obedience.

Miles: In other words: Pharisaism.

Dave: Exactly. The Pharisees of Yahushua’s day had all these rules and regulations that actually broke the divine law, all while claiming to keep it!

Miles: Do you have an example of this?

Dave: I have an excellent one. This is the Talmudic teaching that if a Jew loses something, his property must be returned. However, if a non-Jew loses something, the Jew who found it may keep it. Here, read it. It’s from Choschen Ham., 266,1.

Miles:

A Jew may keep anything he finds which belongs to the Akum, for it is written: Return to thy brethren what is lost … For he who returns lost property [to non-Jews] sins against the Law by increasing the power of the transgressors of the Law. It is praiseworthy, however, to return lost property if…by so doing Christians will praise the Jews and look upon them as honorable people.

Unquote. Wow! Talk about having ulterior motives to do what is right! That’s just sick.

Dave: Oh, it gets worse, and it contradicts the very essence of Christianity. In Matthew 7:12, Yahushua taught, quote: “All things whatsoever ye would that men should do to you, do ye even so to them: for this is the law and the prophets.”

The Jews skirt around this because, according to the Talmud, only Jews are accounted men. Since gentiles are non-human animals, they don’t think it breaks the law of Yahuwah to keep or otherwise steal anything that belongs to gentiles. “For it is written,” the Talmud says, “And ye my flock, the flock of my pastures, are men; only ye are designated ‘men’.” Unquote.

Miles: This reminds me of a quote I read from Goldwin Smith. He was a Professor of Modern History at Oxford University in the 1800s. He said, quote: “The Jew alone regard his race as superior to humanity, and looks forward not to its ultimate union with other races, but to its triumph over them all and to its final ascendancy under the leadership of a tribal Messiah.”

Dave: It’s true. There’s that drive for world domination right there.

The Talmud does three things.

1) It provides Jews with the justification and permission to commit their many heinous crimes against humanity.

2) It filters the truths contained in the Torah through Pharasaic traditions. And,

3) It blasphemes Yahushua in the grossest ways imaginable.

Miles: Let’s break this down and take a look at each one. First, the Talmud gives permission to sin. Say more. What can you tell us about this?

Dave: The traditions of the Pharisees, as codified in the Talmud, are the justification used by many modern Jews and the cryptos, to commit all kinds of evil. It actually gives them tacit permission to commit crimes against gentiles. Christians in particular, it says, should be exterminated.

Now, I know this sounds hard to believe, but let’s read it! It’s right there in the Talmud. In 1892, I. B. Pranaitis published a book entitled The Talmud Unmasked: The Secret Rabbinical Teachings Concerning the Christians. Go ahead and read this quote.

Miles:

Since, however, it is not always and everywhere possible to effect this extermination of Christians, the Talmud orders that they should be attacked at least indirectly, namely: by injuring them in every possible way, and by thus lessening their power, help towards their ultimate destruction. Wherever it is possible a Jew should kill Christians and do so without mercy…

A Jew is commanded to harm Christians wherever he can, both indirectly by not helping them in any way, and also directly by wrecking their plans and projects; neither must he save a Christian who is in danger of death.

Dave: We don’t have time to list all the sins that Jewish tradition, as spelled out in the Talmud, gives permission to the Jews to commit. However, I’ve compiled a short list. I’m going to read what the Talmud gives permission to do. You can read the various quotes from the Talmud for yourself. I’m not asking anyone to take my word for it. I don’t need to! It’s all there in black-and-white.

OK. Ready? The Talmud gives the Jews permission to lie to gentiles.

Miles: Quote: “It is permitted to deceive a Goi.” (Babha Kama, 113b)

Dave: Jews can pretend to be Christian in order to deceive.

Miles: Quote: “If a Jew is able to deceive them [idolators] by pretending he is a worshipper of the stars, he may do so.” (Iore Dea, 157, 2. Hagah)

Dave: Sick or injured gentiles must not be helped.

Miles: Quote: “The Akum are not to be cured, even for money, unless it would incur their enmity.” (Iore Dea, 158,1)

Wow. That’s just the opposite of the golden rule, isn’t it?

Dave: Gentiles in danger must not be helped, especially if not helping them results in their death.

Miles: That’s so evil! Okay, uh, Hilkoth Akum, X, 1 says: “Do not have any pity for them…Therefore, if you see an Akum in difficulty or drowning, do not go to his help. And if he is in danger of death, do not save him from death.”

Dave: Jews may lie and even perjure themselves to condemn Christians.

Miles: “When a Jew and a goi come into court, absolve the Jew, if you can, according to the laws of Israel…If this cannot be done proceed callously against the Goi, as Rabbi Ischmael advises….” (Babha Kama, 113a)

Dave: The marginal note for that quote says: “The name of God is not profaned when it is not known by the Goi that the Jew has lied.”

Even the word used to refer to gentiles, goyim, is a derogatory word meaning “animal-like.”

This all directly contradicts the divine law which explains how everyone is to live and treat each other. But the Jews believe the divine law only applies to them, since only they are “human.” This is how the Talmud actually gives them permission to sin. This is why, although the law of Moses spells out a number of capital crimes including murder, the Talmud changes it. The Talmud states that if a gentile kills a Jew, he must be put to death, but if a Jew kills a gentile, there is no death penalty.

Miles: What a contrast to Yahushua! In Matthew 5, He said: “Ye have heard that it hath been said, An eye for an eye, and a tooth for a tooth: But I say unto you, That ye resist not evil: but whosoever shall smite thee on thy right cheek, turn to him the other also.” [Matthew 5:38-39]

Their attitude is so twisted!

Dave: Paul, also, taught the same thing. In Romans 12:21, he wrote: “Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good.”

To put it simply, the arguments of the Jews over how to interpret every fine point of the law of Yahuwah act as filters. They strain out unimportant matters and leave huge errors behind. Ultimately, every last particle of truth is strained out and only error remains.

Miles: Did you know that on Day of Atonement, every Jew has this special prayer they pray? By reciting it on Day of Atonement, they believe this lets them lie to any and every gentile and still be guiltless until the following Day of Atonement.

Dave: This isn’t hate speech, folks! This is the truth! Benjamin Freedman was an honest-minded Jew who believed these practices were wrong. In 1961, he gave a speech in New York City, in which he warned gentiles about the deceitful practices of his fellow Jews and explained how they justified it. I have a copy of his speech here and I marked a quote I’d like you to read.

Yeah, right there …

Miles: He says, quote:

Do you know that on the Day of Atonement that you think is so sacred to them, that on that Day—and I was one of them! This is not hearsay. I’m not here to be a rabble-rouser. I’m here to give you facts. When, on the Day of Atonement, you walk into a synagogue, the very first prayer that you’ll recite, you stand, and it’s the only prayer for which you stand, and you’ll repeat three times a short prayer, the Kol Nidre. You enter into an agreement with God Almighty that any oath, vow or pledge that you may make during the next 12 months shall be null and void. The oath shall not be an oath. The vow shall not be a vow. The pledge shall not be a pledge. They shall have no force and effect, and so forth and so on. And further than that, the Talmud teaches, don’t forget whenever you take an oath, vow or pledge, remember the Kol Nidre oath you take on the Day of Atonement, and that exempts you from fulfilling that.

Dave: The Talmud even goes so far as to allow keeping the Sabbath on the heathen Saturday of the Gregorian calendar. Tractate Shabbat, chapter 7, Mishna 1, says that if a person somehow “loses track” of when the Sabbath occurs, all you have to do is keep one day in seven.

Miles: You can see why Yahushua said: “Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye compass sea and land to make one proselyte, and when he is made, ye make him twofold more the child of hell than yourselves.” [Matthew 23:15]

Dave: The reality is Jews do not want to share truth with others. First, because if others knew the truth of their teachings, and how their tradition has corrupted the law of Yahuwah, non-Jews would wise up to their corrupt, deceitful dealings. Secondly, they don’t want to share even the uncorrupted books of Moses with outsiders because they believe the divine law was given only to them.

Miles: Yeah! I actually had a Jew tell me that! I couldn’t believe it. Where do they get that from? I mean, it’s not in the Old Testament.

Dave: They get it from the Talmud. The Talmud states, quote: “A heathen who studies the Torah deserves death, for it is written, Moses commanded us a law for an inheritance; it is our inheritance, not theirs.” Unquote.

Again, those looking to the Jews for spiritual truth aren’t going to find it. First, because they don’t possess it. They filter everything through their “traditions of the elders.” Secondly, what they do have they are very careful to hide from non-Jews. So if you think the Jews are your friends just because your tour guide was nice when you took a tour of the Holy Lands, you need to consider the facts. And the facts are, they see you as a source of income and gullible as well. That’s all.

Yes, there are sincere and honest descendants of Abraham out there, but we’re talking about cryptos—those who are united in taking on the traditions of the Pharisees to hide their quest for global dominance. Don’t think you’ll ever find truth from them, because you won’t.

Miles: Well, this is nothing new, when you think about it. Yahushua recognized the spirit of the Pharisees when he said: “But woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye shut up the kingdom of heaven against men: for ye neither go in yourselves, neither suffer ye them that are entering to go in.” [Matthew 23:13]

Miles: Okay, we’re back. I have to say, Dave, that even though I’ve looked into this subject before, reading the quotes from the Talmud itself, never fails to shock me. It’s morally revolting.

Dave: It really is. Worse than anything else the Talmud claims or teaches, however, is the blasphemy in how it refers to Yahushua. According to the Talmud, Yahushua was a bastard. It claims His mother cheated on her husband, and says she whored herself with a man variously named Pandera, Panthera, or Pantiri.

Miles: I’ve heard that, but what’s the point? Just disrespect?

Dave: No, actually there’s a reason for categorizing Yahushua as illegitimate. Peter Schäfer in his book, Jesus in the Talmud, explains why. Read that paragraph there by the asterisk.

Miles: Quote. “One of the restrictions of his status implies that he cannot enter a legitimate marriage with a Jewish woman and father Jewish children—let alone found a congregation that claims to be the ‘new Israel.’” Unquote.

Dave: The name of Yahushua’s supposed father is itself an excellent example of the subtle, hidden ways the Jews mock and blaspheme the Son of Yah in the Talmud.

Here, read this other quote from Jesus in the Talmud. It’s quite explicit.

Miles:

What we encounter here is the well-known rabbinic practice of mocking pagan or Christian holy names by changing them pejoratively, such as penei elah (“face of god”) that becomes penei kelev (“face of the dog”). But the punch line in our case is the reverse reading of the consonants within the Greek word—not by coincidence following the magical(!) practice of reading a word backwards…by changing parthenos to panteros, the rabbis do not just practice a case of “cacophemism” rather, they utter a magical spell, or an exorcism, and “transform” Jesus’ birth from a virgin to that of a common Roman soldier named Panther. Maier’s major argument against this derivation (who could understand such a sophisticated pun?) grossly underestimates the rabbis and their readers.

All that we know from rabbinic as well as from pagan sources points to the fact that the unkind countermessage to the New Testament—Miriam/Mary was a whore and her son a bastard—was the Jewish answer to the Christian propaganda of the divine origin of Jesus.

Dave: And do the blasphemies stop there. According to The Talmud Unmasked, quote:

The Talmud teaches that Jesus Christ was illegitimate and was conceived during menstruation; that he had the soul of Esau; that he was a fool, a conjurer, a seducer; that he was crucified, buried in hell and set up as an idol ever since by his followers.

Miles: Have you heard of a Rabbi Drach? He was a Jew who ended up converting to Christianity. He said that the Talmud contains, quote: “a large number of … most revolting indecencies, and, above all, the most horrible blasphemies against everything which the Christian religion holds most sacred and most dear.”

Dave: I’m not surprised. Disgusted, yes. But surprised? No. The Talmud refers to Yahushua in a variety of ways and by an assortment of insulting names, names that are clearly understood by the Jews as referring to Yahushua. Again, from the Tamud Unmasked, it says, quote:

[This] is nothing new in Jewish writings and is done on purpose so that Christians may not easily detect their trickery…There are Jews who themselves confess to this. For instance, in the book Sepher Juchasin [quote]: “The Rabbis have always deceived the Nazarenes [Christians] by saying that the Jesus of whom the Talmud speaks is not the Jesus Christ of the Christians. They permit themselves this falsehood for the sake of peace”….

Miles: So, basically, they’re lying. Again.

It’s almost like they’re inspired by demons to be the most blasphemous, the most disgusting and disrespectful they can be.

Dave: That’s exactly what it is. Did you know that, according to them, Yahushua is even now in hell, being punished in boiling excrement?

Miles: Seriously?

Dave: I’m not kidding! They deliberately try to be as disgusting and insulting as possible. It’s on purpose.

Miles: Yahuwah loved the world with such an infinite, exhaustless love, that He willingly sacrificed His only child, His only begotten son. He gave him to the fallen race, sending him to the lowest of the low, so that all who believe on him might not perish, but have ever lasting life. Now, whether this priceless gift is accepted or rejected, is, of course, up to the individual. But at the very least, it should be viewed with the respect such selfless love, such self-sacrifice, deserves. That’s just basic human respect.

Dave: I agree. The Jews, however, have nothing but the grossest blasphemies, the lewdest insinuations and grossest insults to heap on the Saviour.

Miles: And not just Yahushua, but Yahushua in the person of his followers. I was shocked to read a quote by a Rabbi Dov Lior. He is, or was, leader of the Shavei-Hevron yeshiva at Kiryat Arba. He said, and I quote: “There is no such thing as civilians in wartime … A thousand non-Jewish lives are not worth a Jew’s fingernail!”

Dave: You want to talk about racism? That’s about as racist as it gets! Sir Richard Francis Burton was a 19^th century British diplomat and writer. He said something, based on his experience in government and what he had observed, that I find very interesting. I printed it off here for you to read.

Miles:

The Jew’s hand was ever, like Ishmael’s, against every man but those belonging to the Synagogue. His fierce passions and fiendish cunning, combined with abnormal powers of intellect, with intense vitality, and with a persistency of purpose which the world has rarely seen, and whetted moreover by a keen thirst for blood engendered by defeat and subjection, combined to make him the deadly enemy of all mankind, whilst his unsocial and iniquitous Oral Law [the Talmud] contributed to inflame his wild lust of self, and to justify the crimes suggested by spite and superstition.

Dave: The belief that the Jews today are Yahuwah’s special, chosen people, and that the nation of Israel has special standing with Heaven does not come from Scripture. This is a new doctrine and it originates with the conniving crypto-Jews themselves.

Miles: Well, yeah. They know the gentiles’ values and honor. By getting gentiles to believe the Jews are still Yah’s chosen people, they can convince the “cattle” to send them tithes and offerings.

Dave: Their motto, “Never again”—referring to the holocaust—allows the Israeli military to get away with the most atrocious crimes against humanity and the rest of the world looks on in silence. It’s truly a masterpiece of deception. Any time anyone tries to protest, he or she is accused of “anti-Semitism.”

Miles: When did this idea that the Jews are still Yah’s special, chosen people get so popular? I seem to recall people used to see them for who they really are.

Dave: Well, it really only gained prominence in the 20^th century. Earlier Christians didn’t labor under “politically correct” muzzles. They knew what the Jews were, and they weren’t afraid to denounce them for the evil that flowed from their teachings and traditions.

In his last sermon before his death, Martin Luther declared of the Jews: “They are our public enemies and incessantly blaspheme our Lord [Yahushua] Christ, they call our Blessed Virgin Mary a harlot and her Holy Son a bastard and to us they give the epithet of changelings and abortions.” Unquote. Luther actually wrote a book in which he clearly linked the teachings of the Jews to the Talmud, saying, quote: “They should be deprived of their prayer-books and Talmuds in which such idolatry, lies, cursing and blasphemies are taught.” Unquote.

John Chrysostum, an early Christian father from the fourth century, was even more blunt in his strongly worded denunciation of the Jews. Read this quote, here:

Miles:

The synagogue is worse than a whorehouse. It is the den of scoundrels and the repair of wild beasts…the temple of demons devoted to idolatrous cults…the refuge of debauchees, and the cavern of devils. It is a criminal assembly of Jews…a place of meeting for assassins of Christ…a den of thieves, a dwelling of iniquity, the refuge of devils, a gulf and an abyss of perdition. I would say the same things about their souls.

Dave: Turn to Revelation 3 and read verse 9. This is to the Church of Philadelphia. They are given a very interesting promise.

Miles: “Behold, I will make them of the synagogue of Satan, which say they are Jews, and are not, but do lie; behold, I will make them to come and worship before thy feet, and to know that I have loved thee.”

Dave: “Synagogue” is a fascinating word choice here. “Churches” are distinctive to the Christian faith. “Temples” are attended by everyone from Hindus, to Bhuddists, to Christians and more. But only Jews attend “synagogues.” It’s significant that the True Witness says that those of the synagogue of Satan “say they are Jews, and are not, but do lie.”

Miles: Huh! What clearer description could there be of the Zionist, Khazarian crypto-Jews?

Actually, that phrase appears in another message to one of the other churches. I think it’s … yeah. Smyrna. Revelation 2, verse 9 says: “I know thy works, and tribulation, and poverty, (but thou art rich) and I know the blasphemy of them which say they are Jews, and are not, but are the synagogue of Satan.”

Dave: There are plenty of Jews that recognize the evil of the Zionist, crypto-Jewish agenda. In fact, many of those who are descendants of Abraham are adamantly opposed to Zionism. Others, also, have spoken out, warning against the unholy dealings of the Jews with the gentiles.

So let me ask you this: If sincere Jews themselves see the evil, why do so many Christians pant after all things Jewish?

Miles: That’s a very good question.

Dave: The very essence of modern Judaism is based on Talmudism and is diametrically opposed to the law of Yahuwah.

Miles: Well, yeah! The divine law is summarized in Matthew 22 as: “Love Yahuwah your Eloah with all your heart, mind, and soul, and your neighbor as yourself.” [Matthew 22:37-39]

Dave: Jewish Talmudism, besides being grossly blasphemous, actually teaches the very opposite. It teaches to take advantage of others, to hold them in contempt as animals beneath you, all because of race. These are Satan’s attributes, not Yah’s, and taught as principles throughout Judaism.

You can’t separate Pharasaism from Judaism, because Judaism is Pharasaism—the same Pharasaism that Yahushua fought against while on earth.

Miles: This is true. Have you ever heard people say, “Yahushua was a Jew?”

Dave: Dr. David Goldstein, a Jew that converted to Catholicism, used to say it, too. Benjamin Freedman, another Jew, took exception to this. In 1954, he wrote a letter to Goldstein, explaining the history of the Khazarian Jews and rejecting the assumptions made with the claim that “Jesus was a Jew.”

It’s very eye-opening. Would you read it for us, please?

Miles:

To allege that "[Yahushua] was a Jew" in the sense that during His lifetime [Yahushua] professed and practiced the form of religious worship known and practiced under the modern name of "Judaism" is false and fiction of the most blasphemous nature. If to be a so-called or self-styled "Jew" then or now the practice of "Judaism" was a requirement then [Yahushua] certainly was not a so-called "Jew". [Yahushua] abhorred and denounced the form of religious worship practiced in Judea in His lifetime and which is known and practiced today under its new name "Judaism". That religious belief was then known as "Pharisiasm".

Dave: Yes.

No child of Yahuwah can, in good conscience, send monies to support the agendas of these evil, power-mad entities. They cannot defend them, vote to support their murderous policies, or in any way look to them for spiritual guidance. The synagogue of Satan is the “seed of the serpent.”

Listen, folks: they don’t have any special spiritual insight. Rather, having rejected the Light of the World, their “house is left unto them desolate.” They have no light.

Miles: Matthew 6:23: “If therefore the light that is in thee be darkness, how great is that darkness!”

Dave: Exactly. To knowingly turn to the ones Yahushua himself referred to as whited sepulchers full of dead men’s bones is to join with them in disrespecting Him. A true Christian has no business adopting the practices and traditions of the Pharisees in an attempt to please Yah. Because it doesn’t. It only insults Him.

Miles: And we don’t need that! We’ve got truth, the pure truth of Yah’s word. If there is something He wants you to know or do, it will be in His word.

Miles: All right! Daily Mailbag time! We’ve got a question from Donatella in Lecce, Italy.

Dave: I got to visit there once. It’s very beautiful. They have a lot of really beautiful Baroque architecture there. Just walking down the street, you’re surrounded by all these exquisite old buildings.

Miles: Sounds beautiful. Okay. Donatella writes: “Dear WLC, My family has recently gone through a series of tragedies that has left me feeling abandoned by Yah. I know, intellectually, that He hasn’t forsaken us, but emotionally it feels like it. I’m really struggling right now to keep clinging to my faith in Him. Are there any Bible verses in particular you could share with me that could help?

Dave: Yes. There are, Donatella. The Father wants us to know that, no matter what happens in life, He is there right by our side. He feels what we feel, so He knows just the amount of strength and comfort to send.

There are several Bible verses I find especially comforting when you feel like your world is falling apart.

Miles: Grab a pen and paper, folks! Jot down these texts so you can have them available when you need them. I think all of us should have such Bible verses memorized for times when we need encouragement.

Okay. What’s the first verse?

Dave: Hebrews 13, verse 5. It says: “I will never leave you nor forsake you.” It seems to be a quote of Deuteronomy 31:8, which says: “And Yahuwah, He is the One who goes before you. He will be with you, He will not leave you nor forsake you; do not fear nor be dismayed.”

Yahuwah said these words to Joshua, to encourage him that he would not be alone in conquering Canaan.

Miles: Can you imagine anything more comforting than Yahuwah Himself telling you, personally, that He’ll never leave you or forsake you? Wow.

Dave: Well, today, He speaks to us through His word. So when we read those words, that is His voice speaking to us, personally.

The next verse is John 14, verse 18. Why don’t you turn there? The disciples were confused about the Saviour’s words that he was going to go to a place they couldn’t follow. They’d been with him for three and a half years! Naturally, they were feeling afraid and uncertain.

The words Yahushua spoke to comfort them are a promise for us as well.

Miles: John 14:18 says: “I will not leave you orphans; I will come to you.”

Dave: Now turn to Leviticus 26. Here, Yahuwah is speaking to Israel again but it is a precious promise for every child of Yah. Read verses 11 and 12.

Miles: “I will set My tabernacle among you, and My soul shall not abhor you.

I will walk among you and be your Eloah, and you shall be My people.”

Dave: The truth is, Yahuwah delights to be with His children. He wants to be with us, to dwell, or “tabernacle” with us.

Miles: He told Moses: “Let them make Me a sanctuary that I might dwell—or tabernacle—among them.”

Dave: Right! His heart’s greatest desire is to be with us. John wrote: “And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth.” [John 1:14]

The word for “dwelt” is the same word for “tabernacle.” In the New Testament, it’s the same phrase used in John 15:4 that if we abide in Christ, he will abide with us.

The word “abide” comes from the Greek word, menō, and it means “to remain in, to abide with.” So, both the Father and the son are assuring us that they will stay with us, and this is an everlasting promise. The only one that has the power to send them away is the individual.

Miles: And if we’re wanting to cling to Him, we can know that He holds on to us with a grip that will never let us go. When you’re too tired and hurting too much to cling to Him, you can let go and rest in Him, knowing He’ll never let you go.

Dave: Amen. The last passage I find especially comforting is Romans 8, verses 35 and following.

Miles:

Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword? Yet in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us. For I am persuaded that neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities nor powers, nor things present nor things to come, nor height nor depth, nor any other created thing, shall be able to separate us from the love of Yah which is in Christ Yahushua our Lord. [Romans 8:35, 37-39]

Dave: Let’s take just a moment to think about what this is saying. Paul here is absolutely convinced that no created anything has the power to come between Yahuwah and those He loves.

This is Yah’s assurance, His promise that you’ll never, ever be separated from Him. And remember: anything Yahuwah promises is as certain as if it already existed because Yahuwah cannot lie.

In closing, let’s read Numbers 23:19.

Miles: “Yahuwah is not a man, that He should lie,
Nor a son of man, that He should repent.
Has He said, and will He not do?
Or has He spoken, and will He not make it good?”

Dave: We can take courage in the fact that, no matter what happens, Yahuwah loves us, and He will never forsake us and we know this, because He cannot lie.

This is Elise O’Brien with your daily promise from Yah’s Word.

The name of Charles Blondin was quite famous across the United States in the summer of 1859. And not for any reason for which I’d want to be famous! But I like Charlie’s story because it is an excellent illustration of faith.

Charlie, you see, was an acrobat. On July 15, in 1859, he became the first person to successfully walk across Niagara Falls on a tightrope. Just let that sink in for a moment. A tightrope, 160-feet in the air, stretched over a quarter of a mile long, across the breadth of roaring Niagara Falls. The incessant thundering of the water fills the air with mist, covering everything with a slippery sheen of moisture. The least slip, the smallest tumble, and Charlie would plunge to his death.

But Charlie did it! In fact, he did it several times, strolling on the tight rope, back and forth between Canada and the United States. Huge crowds on both sides watched in amazement and awe. As if walking straight across were not enough, Charlie decided to get creative. Once, he crossed in a sack. Another time, he walked across … on stilts! Next, he crossed … riding a bicycle! As if that weren’t enough, the next time he carried a stove and cooked an omelet! Charlie was a definitely a showman and knew how to play to the crowds.

Finally, after walking across backwards while blindfolded, Charlie returned to the American side pushing a wheelbarrow. He asked the waiting crowds: “Do you believe I can carry a person across in this wheelbarrow?”

Well, naturally, the crowd cheered. Yes! They believed he could do it! He’d proven he could!

Then Charlie asked, “Who will volunteer to get into the wheelbarrow and be pushed across?”

Of course, no one volunteered. They were entertained by watching Charlie’s feats of daring, but no one believed in his abilities enough to entrust their own lives to him.

I like this story because it illustrates the big difference between mere belief, and true faith. Belief is simply head knowledge. Faith, on the other hand, goes further. Faith is heart knowledge. It’s belief in action based on confidence.

The crowd had watched Charlie’s amazing ability. They said they believed in him, but their actions proved they really did not.

It’s one thing to say we believe in Yah. It’s quite another to stop our efforts to make ourselves “good enough”, and by faith trust in the merits of the blood of Yahushua. The blood of Yahushua is sufficient to save even the most hardened sinner if he will just accept by faith the gift of salvation.

Faith is not feeling. Don’t get the two mixed up. They’re completely different. Faith is simply taking Yahuwah at His word without needing any other evidence, because you trust Him to always do what He says. That’s it. That’s faith.

John 1, verses 12 and 13 tells us: “As many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of Yah, even to them that believe on his name: Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of Yahuwah.”

We’ve been given great and precious promises. Go, and start claiming!

* * *Part 3: (Miles & Dave)

Miles: I know today’s topic may have been really shocking if, all this time, you’ve been viewing today’s Jews as still Yah’s chosen. But don’t take our word for it. Study it out for yourself. The truth is there. We don’t need to turn to broken cisterns for the water of life when we can turn to the Saviour who is Himself the “water of life.”

Dave: This is very true.

Miles: What gives this, well, delusion. It’s a delusion! What gives it such deceptive power?

Dave: The crypto-Jews’ claims to superior importance in the sight of Yahuwah is based on the assertion that, as the so-called “seed of Abraham,” they are the inheritors of the promises made to Abraham. Unfortunately, a lot of sincere Christians have trusted the claims of these so-called “chosen people of Yah” and accepted them at face value.

Miles: Well, it’s rather circular reasoning: “The pharisaical crypto-Jews are Yah’s chosen people, because they say they are, therefore they are.”

And, what’s more, they claim to be the inheritors of the promises of Abraham. That gives their claims a lot of weight with sincere believers.

Dave: Yes, but what we have to remember is that the promises given to Abraham are conditional. They are conditional based on obedience. You cannot live in open defiance of Yah and still expect to claim any divine promises.

Furthermore, and this is crucial, the promises given to Abraham are available to everyone … but only through Yahushua! They don’t come through some real or imagined connection to Abraham as the crypto-Jews would have us think. The promises to Abraham come to all through Yahushua.

Paul is very clear on this point. Turn to Galatians 3 and let’s take a look at verses 7 to 9, 14, and 16. Go ahead and read it as soon as you find it.

Miles:

Know ye therefore that they which are of faith, the same are the children of Abraham. And the scripture, foreseeing that Yahuwah would justify the heathen through faith, preached before the gospel unto Abraham, saying, In thee shall all nations be blessed. So then they which be of faith are blessed with [not through] faithful Abraham. That the blessing of Abraham might come on the Gentiles through Christ Yahushua; that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith. Now to Abraham and his seed were the promises made. He saith not, And to seeds, as of many; but as of one, And to thy seed, which is Christ.

Dave: The “seed of Abraham” is Yahushua. Period. The seed of Abraham is not the Jews. It is not believers. The seed of Abraham is Yahushua through Whom blessings flow to all who believe in the promises given to Abraham and his seed, Yahushua, and who accept them by faith.

Miles: This is important, friends, because any area in which Satan has deceived us, he gains an inroad into our minds and can more easily deceive us on some other point. These are days of deception. Every wind of doctrine is blowing.

Our monies, our time and energy, would be far better spent winning souls for Yahushua and sharing the gospel, than sending money to rebuild the temple or whatever else people do to support the crypto-Jews.

Dave: This tendency to put the Jews up on a pedestal as the ultimate authority on how to live righteous, godly lives reveals an even more serious, underlying problem. And that is, this tendency to look for outside authorities to tell us what to do.

Some people go to a favorite pastor or priest; they follow the guidance of some influential spiritual leader, but you don’t need to do that, folks! Yahuwah has promised to teach you what you need to know in order to be saved. Don’t go to people whose life and teachings prove the words of the Saviour: “Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it.” [John 8:44]

Miles: I also like the promise in James 1:5 that says: “If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of Yah, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him.” Scripture is all we need! If we ask Yah to teach us, He will. And His word is the only thing that can get us ready for Satan’s end time delusions.

Dave: Spend time in Yah’s word. Get to know Him for yourself. Then you’ll stay faithful because your trust will be in the Almighty, not your priest or pastor, and certainly not the seed of the serpent, the crypto-Jews.

But most of all, spend time in Yah’s word. Go only as fast as you understand what you’re reading. Study with an open mind and with David, let your prayer be: “Open thou mine eyes, that I may behold wondrous things out of thy law.” [Psalm 119:18] If you ask Him, He will. He’ll teach you what you need to know because, more than anything, He wants you to be saved.
